Dreams

"Dreams" is an experimental short film that delves into the mysterious realm of the subconscious mind. Through a series of visually striking sequences, the film explores the fluid, non-linear nature of dreams and their connection to our waking reality.

The project employs unconventional cinematography techniques and abstract visual storytelling to recreate the sensation of dreaming. By blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, "Dreams" invites viewers to question their own perception and experience of consciousness.

Shot primarily in Mumbai, the film incorporates elements of the city's landscape transformed through dreamlike filters and perspectives, creating a familiar yet otherworldly atmosphere that mirrors the strange logic of dreams.

"Dreams have always fascinated me as a filmmaker - they are perhaps the most pure form of cinema that exists naturally within us. In our dreams, we experience narrative without the constraints of physics, logic, or linear time. With this project, I wanted to externalize that internal experience and create a visual language that captures the essence of dreaming.

The film doesn't follow a traditional narrative structure but instead creates a mood and atmosphere that evokes the feeling of moving through different dream states - from the surreal to the nightmarish, from the mundane to the transcendent. By experimenting with light, color, movement, and sound, I aimed to create a sensory experience that resonates on a subconscious level.

'Dreams' is as much about the viewer's interpretation as it is about my own vision. Each person who watches it will bring their own subconscious associations and dream experiences to their viewing, making it a uniquely personal journey."
